Anti-Money Laundering Enterprise Risk Assessment Training

OSIPP hosted an Anti-Money Laundering Enterprise Risk Assessment (AML ERA) training session for the Insurance and Private Pensions Sectors at the Black Orchid Resort in Burrell Boom. The training session was attended by 38 participants who represented both sectors. During the training, participants learnt the importance of conducting an AML ERA, the components in developing its methodology, and conducted a practical exercise in identifying, analyzing, and risk rating potential risk factors and threats to its organizations.

AML/CFT/CPF Sensitization Session– Pension

The Office of the Supervisor of Insurance & Private Pensions held its very first Anti Money Laundering/Combating Finance Terrorist/Countering Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/CPF) sensitization session with Pension Administrators. Participants were briefed on the Money Laundering & Terrorism (Prevention) Act (MLTPA) and all the obligations that fall under the revised Act.

First Annual Pension Administrators Forum

The Office of the Supervisor of Insurance & Private Pensions launched its first annual Pension Administrators Forum under the theme “Secure your tomorrow with wise investing today!”. The forum included sessions on the investment opportunities in Belize and on the responsibilities of the administrators.
